Apostle Islands Gray Skies Sailing || Wisconsin Landmark Art Print
Giclée Fine Art open edition print of an Original illustration by Mark Herman
Made up of 21 islands on Lake Superior and located in the Ashland and Bayfield counties of Northern Wisconsin. The Apostle islands are dominated by Boreal forest and unique dramatic lakeshores.
Visitors can hike, paddle, sail, or cruise to experience these jewels of one of the Great Lakes. The arches and chambers of the sea caves that dot the shorelines in places like Swallow Point on Sand Island and the North Shore of Devils Island are a special attraction for Kayakers.
While clear water, underwater rock formations, and fascinating shipwrecks combine to provide outstanding scuba diving opportunities.
The National Park Service announced that the Apostles saw record numbers of visitors in the last few years. This destination deserves a spot on your travel bucket list alongside Yosemite and Yellowstone as a sight not to be missed!
About our prints: We only use Epson Brand Printers, Epson inks and Epson Enhanced Matte Paper to ensure our high quality standards and attention to detail is consistent with every print you purchase from us. Every print is made by our family owned small business and personally inspected.
Please note that some color tones and intensities may vary slightly from online to in person, but the heavy stock premium matte paper nicely enhances the rich colors in Mark’s artwork.
All of our prints include a white printed border, designed to look great when placed directly into a frame without the need for an additional mat.
The 8x10 and 16x20 prints include a small original "landmark icon" line art illustration at the bottom of the print (example image shows the size of the icon but each landmark features a unique image created by the artist to compliment the print location).
