Giclée Fine Art open edition print of an Original illustration by Mark Herman
As the legend goes, it took five huge storks to deliver the infant (already gigantic) Paul Bunyan to his parents in Bangor, Maine. When he grew older, one drag of the mighty lumberjack’s massive ax created the Grand Canyon, while the giant footprints of his trusty companion, Babe the Blue Ox, filled with water and became Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes. Paul Bunyan and his best friend Babe the Blue Ox made their debut in Bemidji, Minnesota during the winter carnival in 1937 and became an instant sensation. At 18 feet fall, the burly lumberjack stands beside the shores of Lake Bemidji for a picturesque backdrop. In 1939, a 10-foot statue of Babe the Blue Ox was built to stand by his side.
About our prints: We only use Epson Brand Printers, Epson inks and Epson Enhanced Matte Paper to ensure our high quality standards and attention to detail is consistent with every print you purchase from us. Every print is made by our family owned small business and personally inspected.
Please note that some color tones and intensities may vary slightly from online to in person, but the heavy stock premium matte paper nicely enhances the rich colors in Mark’s artwork.
All of our prints include a white printed border, designed to look great when placed directly into a frame without the need for an additional mat.
