Minnesota State Capitol in the Fall || Minnesota Landmark Art Print

Giclée Fine Art open edition print of an Original illustration by Mark Herman

The current Minnesota State Capitol building is actually the third state capitol, built after the first burned in 1881, and the second replacement capitol was deemed too small and poorly ventilated. Completed in 1905, it is used by the Minnesota governor, Supreme Court, Senate and House of Representatives. Designed by Cass Gilbert, who was known for his classical style and pioneering skyscrapers, the Capitol features the second-largest self-supporting marble dome in the world, works by important 19th- and 20th-century artists, and battle flags from the Civil and Spanish-American Wars. Located in the city of Saint Paul, this landmark is well worth a visit for its beauty, its art, and its history.

About our prints: We only use Epson Brand Printers, Epson inks and Epson Enhanced Matte Paper to ensure our high quality standards and attention to detail is consistent with every print you purchase from us. Every print is made by our family owned small business and personally inspected.
Please note that some color tones and intensities may vary slightly from online to in person, but the heavy stock premium matte paper nicely enhances the rich colors in Mark’s artwork.

All of our prints include a white printed border, designed to look great when placed directly into a frame without the need for an additional mat.
