Nicollet Island and the Grain Belt Beer Sign || Landmark Art Print
Giclée Fine Art open edition print of an Original illustration by Mark Herman.
Nicollet Island sits in the Mississippi River just above St. Anthony Falls, connected to downtown Minneapolis and Northeast by bridges and trails. One of its most iconic landmarks is the Grain Belt Beer Sign, originally built in 1941 for the Marigold Ballroom and later moved to the island in 1950. Once one of the nation’s largest neon signs, it fell into disrepair after the brewery’s closure but was restored with LED lighting in 2017. Recognized for its historic significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
About our prints: We only use Epson Brand Printers, Epson inks and Epson Enhanced Matte Paper to ensure our high quality standards and attention to detail is consistent with every print you purchase from us. Every print is made by our family owned small business and personally inspected.
Please note that some color tones and intensities may vary slightly from online to in person, but the heavy stock premium matte paper nicely enhances the rich colors in Mark’s artwork.
All of our prints include a white printed border, designed to look great when placed directly into a frame without the need for an additional mat.
