Giclée Fine Art open edition print of an Original illustration by Mark Herman
Lake Nokomis is a 204-acre lake located in South Minneapolis and forms part of the city’s renowned Chain of Lakes. Originally a wetland, it was transformed into a lake in the early 20th century. It was first named Lake Amelia in 1819, in honor of Captain George Gooding’s daughter. The name was changed in 1910 to Lake Nokomis, paying tribute to Nokomis, the legendary grandmother of Hiawatha. Today, Lake Nokomis is a beloved spot for seasonal recreation, featuring scenic paths designed for walkers, runners, and cyclists.
About our prints: We only use Epson Brand Printers, Epson inks and Epson Enhanced Matte Paper to ensure our high quality standards and attention to detail is consistent with every print you purchase from us. Every print is made by our family owned small business and personally inspected.
Please note that some color tones and intensities may vary slightly from online to in person, but the heavy stock premium matte paper nicely enhances the rich colors in Mark’s artwork.
All of our prints include a white printed border, designed to look great when placed directly into a frame without the need for an additional mat.
